Learning Tasks:
1. Go to the following link to practice author’s purpos ehttp://www.studyzone.org/testprep/ela4/j/authorpurposep.cfm read each of the paragraphs and then decide what the author’s purpose of each paragraph is. Make sure the sound is turned up on your computer so you can hear if they cheer for you when you get the correct answer.
2. Go to the following link http://www.internet4classrooms.com/assessment_assistance/assessment_preparation_language_arts_authors_purpose_worksheets.htm and then open the “author’s purpose” that is number 2. This should open up in a word document. Print this page off and read the passages and determine if the passage is trying to inform (give information), to entertain (for fun), or to persuade (get somebody to do something)
**If you are unable to print the word document page use a piece of paper to answer the questions and turn that paper into your teacher**
