Hello! My name is Alycia Niemeyer. I have a degree in Early Childhood Education from Bowling Green State University and a masters degree from Marygrove College. I have many years of teaching experience and most of them here at New Bremen Local School.
I have been trained in Orton-Gillingham, Fundations (Levels K, 1, 2, and 3) and the Heggerty program. I also have many years of experience in teaching kids one-on-one with the Barton Spelling and Reading Program. I have a true passion for helping kids learn to read. Over my teaching career I have taught in many classrooms-- Kindergarten, 3rd grade, 2nd grade, Title I Reading and now I am a classroom teacher with 1st graders.
I grew up in Minster and currently reside there with my husband, Matt, and 3 children. My hobbies are baking, swimming, running and spending time outside with my family and our dog.Teaching children is definitly a wonderful occupation. It is ever-changing, never boring, challenging and extremely rewarding! I am excited in working with new parents and students in my upcoming years here at New Bremen!
