Learning Target
1. I can identify the parts of an angle (vertex, common endpoints, rays) and defind an angle.
2. I can explain that an angle is measured in degrees related to the 360 degrees in a circle.
Lesson Overview
You are going to practice measuring angles using a protractor.
Task #1
Click on the link
http://www.mathplayground.com/measuringangles.html
and read the directions. Then click start. When you start the practice problems, click and drag the rotate button until one of the red lines is on the zero line and the second red line is on the numbers of the protractor. Practice 10 or more problems and have fun.
Task #2
Download, print, and complete the 6 protractor problems on the worksheet below (
Using a Protractor Worksheet
). If you don't have a printer, write your answers on a separate sheet of paper.
Turn in the answers to these 6 problems to your math teacher when we get back to school. Remember you have up to 2 weeks after we have our e-Day to finish your lessons!
Using a Protractor Worksheet
Click "Using a Protractor Worksheet". If you do not have a printer, write your answers on a separate piece of paper.
