Students will read and comprehend a short story (a legend) and a nonfiction article.
Learning Task
1. Go to the following website:

**When you are completely finished with this activity you will be asked to print out your answers. If you are unable to print, you may write your answers on notebook paper.***
2. Read "How the Chipmunk Got its Stripes"
3. At the end of the selection click on the words in blue (answer section) or scroll down to the bottom.4. Answer each question that goes with the story.
5. Next, go back up and read the article "Amazing Black Holes".
6. At the end of the selection click on the words in blue (answer section) or scroll down to the bottom.
7. Answer each question that goes with the story.
8. When you are finished, type your name in the box at the bottom underneath the stop sign and click on "print your answers". If you cannot print, be sure that you have written the title for each section and numbered your answers on notebook paper.
Remember to turn the assignment in to your reading teacher when you get back to school. You have up to 2 weeks after we have our e-Day to finish your lessons.
