Wonders Reading Series

Unit I and II

Students will be working from a Literature Anthology Textbook as well as a Reading/Writing Workshop Textbook.

Weekly Vocabulary Assignment

Students are assigned 10 vocabulary words per Chapter, which they manipulate in a variety of activities throughout the week. Every Friday students receive a grade on a Final Check (quiz) over the words of the week.

WE LOVE WRITING IN THE 6th GRADE!

Student do a variety of writing assignments throughout the school year. We focus on specific focus targets for each writing which they practice in their assignments. The following are some of our writing tasks, in addition to many more...

Writing Assignment:

-Compare/Contrast two characters in your story.

-Write a New Story Ending

-Friendly Letter format/Letter to Pen Pals
